Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Bouray were Monday afternoon at the Union Church, Hardy. Mrs. Bouray died Friday after a brief illness at the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 15 days.
Aisleen Mae Hobson Bouray was born Aug. 8, 1897, to Ella Regina and Cassius Clay Hobson at their home in Republic County, Kansas, six miles south of hardy (sic). She was born a twin to Itho Rae Hobson.
Mrs. Bouray lived her first 20 years on the family farm. She graduated from Republic High School in 1919.
Dec. 20, 1920, she was married to John Bouray. To this union six children were born. They are Genevieve Hull of Red Cloud, Geraldine Osborne of Formoso, Vivian Kintigh, Lawrence Bouray and Wilmer Bouray of Hardy, and Richard Bouray, Hutchinson, Kan.
In 1939 she and her husband moved to another home. She worked hard to cloth, feed and keep her family together.
She was a member of the Union Church, Hardy, and was baptized Feb. 23, 1972.
Preceding her in death were her parents, twin brother, Rae, twin brothers, Clyde and Claude, two infant sisters and one infant grandson.
She is survived by her children, 23 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, several nephews and one niece.
Pastor Craig E. Lawless officiated and interment was in Rosemound Cemetery in Kansas. The Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
