Mildred Fern Anderson died at the Lake Point Nursing Home, Augusta, Kansas.
She received her education in the public schools of Kackley, and later attended and graduated from Scandia High School.
On October 3, 1940, she was united in marriage to Woodrow Anderson, and to this union, two daughters were born. She assisted in the farming operation at rural Scandia, until the couple retired. She later worked at the Republic County Hospital at Belleville for several years, working as a physical therapy aide, until her retirement.
She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post # 193 of Scandia, and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Scandia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Don Thomas, Leo Thomas, and Orlando Thomas.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Schmidt of Yukon, Ok, and Linda Robbins of Augusta; sister Marcille Currie of Belleville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held on held at the United Methodist Church, Scandia. Interment was at the Riverview Cemetey, Scandia.
