Robert M. Allison - Pueblo Chieftain - April 27, 2005
Robert M. Allison, 79, passed away April 23, 2005, due to injuries sustained in a fall. Survived by his son, MacGregor S. Allison Sr. of Silverdale, Wash.; foster son, Leonard M. Chavez of Pueblo; sister, Patricia (Paul) Rexrode of Cumberland, Md.; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was born to Royden and Bernice Allison on Dec. 6, 1925, in Omaha, Neb. He served in the U.S. Army as a corporal in Company C of the 347th Engineers in the GS Regiment during WWII. Robert retired from South High School after a longtime career as an English teacher. He enjoyed classical music and outdoor activities such as skiing, camping and fishing. He also founded the Trolls Ski Club.
There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2005, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor Conley Henderson officiating and concluding with military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
Interment will be held at the family plot in Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City, Kan. Those who desire may make memorials to the American Heart Association through the funeral home.
