Will Bowman, son of James and Nancy Bowman, was born in
Woodson County, Kansas, March 25, 1869 and passed away
January 20, 1940 at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 25 days.
While still a boy, his parents moved to Missouri where his father was killed in an accident, after which his mother brought her family back to Woodson County, Kansas, where Will grew to manhood.
On June 14, 1892 he was united in marriage to Ann Hodgson.
To this union five children were born all of whom survive except Verna, who preceded him in death in the fall of 1933.
He brought his family to Rush County, Kansas, in 1909 where
he has since resided. He and his wife united with the United Brethren Churh at Alexander, Kansas, Nov 19, 1925 by cofession of faith and he remained a member until his death.
He leaves behind him, his wife Ann, two sons, Lester of Nekoma and Orlin of Minneola, Kansas. Two daughters Elva Forbes of Nekoma, KS and Merly Ream of Alexander, KS; three brothers, three sisters, 10 grandchildren and on ggranddaughter and a host of friends and neighbors who will greatly miss him.
This is the son of James R. BOWMAN and Nancy ROGERS.
James is the son of Lewis Preston BOWMAN & Mary WHITSON.
