Obituary, Liberal Democrat, Friday, December 4, 1914:
George William Adams was born in Lee county, Iowa, October 14, 1864. He came to Kansas with his parents in 1868 and lived in Central City until nine years ago, since which time he lived in Seward county. He was married to Miss Rosie Hicks, February 2, 1910. To them two children were born, Thomas and Violet. His wife, his children and two sisters survive him. After a very painful illness of several weeks duration, from a gangrenous affection of his left hand and arm and he died November 28, 1914, at the age of 50 years, 1 month and 18 days. The funeral services were conducted last Monday morning at the home twelve miles north of Liberal by Rev. W. T. Ward of the M. E. church. Interment was made in the Liberal cemetery.
