Carrie Isabel Armstrong died December 25, 1984, at Western Prairie Nursing Home, Ulysses, after a long illness. Born June 20, 1899, at Willis she was a retired school teacher and had been a resident of the nursing home since 1975, moving from Lakin, where she had been a long time resident. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Lakin.
Survivors: nephews, Robert Bruner, Lakin, Leroy Armstrong, Hiawatha; nieces, Geneva Osborn, Lakin and Jane Thomeczek, Arlington, Texas.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the United Methodist Church in Lakin. Burial in the Lakin Cemetery. Phillips Furneral Home of Ulysses in charge of arrangements.
