Anschutz, Glenn - (Lt. 2, Blk. 52, Sec. 4) Glenn V. Anshutz died at the Kearny County Hospital early Monday morning, March 3, 1969, of a cerebral hemorrhage, which he suffered at his home Saturday evening. Glenn was born February 14, 1912 in Spearville, KS., son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anschutz. He moved to Lakin in 1934. He was married to Della James, June 12, 1936 at Dodge City. They had two children, Nancy and Frederick. He owned and operated Glenn's Grocery and Locker Plant in Lakin. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church having served as a ruling elder. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors are the widow, Della, of the home, a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Eater of Mount Vernon, IL., a son Fred of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO., two granddaughters, Jule and Jamie Eater; tree sisters, Mrs. Frances Frease, Syracuse, Mrs. Alice Wright, Mangum, OK., and Mrs. Ruth Riffel, LaJunta, CO.; two brothers, Harold, Overbrook, KS., and Richard, Pueblo, CO.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 4, at the United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Phil Ramer officiating. Burial was in the Lakin Cemetery.
