Betty L. Carpenter, daughter of Ollie and Goldie Woodside, was born in Hubbell, Nebr., June 26, 1925, and died October 8, 1982, at the Lincoln General Hospital at the age of 57 years, three months and 12 days.

She was married to Leland H. Carpenter June 20, 1942 and to this union one daughter was born.

She worked at Kresge's and at the University of Nebraska Physical Plant until her health failed and she was hospitalized in June. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Pat (Cheryl) Shorney; two grandsons, two step-grandchildren; her mother, Goldie Woodside of Hubbell; two brothers, Kale Woodside of Lincoln and Keith Woodside of Narka; two sisters, June Zimmerman and Peggy Dunn both of Chester.
Her husband, father and one brother preceded her in death.

Services were October 11 at the Church of Christ in Lincoln by Elder Wesley Lauterbach,. Graveside services were at the Hubbell Cemetery by the Rev. Jean Samuelson.
