Lenora M. Alabaugh, daughter of John Slough and Vada Flock Slough, was born at Narka, Kan., on September 7, 1897 and died in Fort Dodge, Iowa on May 4, 1975 at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 26 days following an illness of several months.
She grew up in the Haddam-Narka area and went through high school in Haddam.
She married Lee M. Alabaugh in 1921 and to this union one child was born. The Alabaughs lived in Clifton and Clay Center, in Kansas and in parts of California and Colorago. They moved to Haddam, where they lived until he died. Then in 1972 Lenora moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa to live with her daughter.
Mrs. Alabaugh was a member of the United Methodist church and was active in the W.S.C.S.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bertha (Mrs. Roy Spring) of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and husband, Lee.
Survivors are daughter, Jodi; one brother, LeRoy Slough of Neigh, Nebr.; one sister, Mrs. Charles Hanel of Topeka, two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the United Methodist church in Haddam with burial in the Haddam Cemetery.
