Lila Beasterfeld
Lila Lee Beasterfeld, 67, Topeka, died Friday, April 23, 1999, in her home.
Mrs. Beasterfeld had served as the curator of the Wabaunsee County Historical Museum.

She was born January 16, 1932, at America City, the daughter of William L. and Golda McKee Diggs. She graduated from Seneca High School in 1951.
Mrs. Beasterfeld was a former member and officer of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She married Melvin R. Beasterfeld July 8, 1971, at Miami, Okla. He died December 21, 1989.
Survivors include a son, William A. Rill, Topeka; a daughter, Cindy L. Rakestraw, Pittsburg; a brother, Glen E. Diggs, Seneca; a sister, Wilma Powell, Weslaco, Texas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Cemetery in Kaw Township of Wabaunsee County.
