Died May 4, 1972 at Topeka, Ks.
Graveside services were today at Greenwood Cemetery at Clay Center for Glenn C. Adams, 81, Clay Center, who died Thursday in a Topeka hospital where he was admitted Wednesday. He had a heart attack.
He was born July 6, 1890 at Clay Center where he spent most of his life. He was a postal clerk many years before he retired. He was a veteran of World War I.
He was a member of First united Methodist Church, the Lions Club, and Alonzo Dexter Post of the American legion, all at Clay Center.
He was married to Elizabeth Osenbaugh June 20, 1916. She survives. Other survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Jupe, Ukiah, Calif., and Mrs. Leora DeFord, Glenview, Ill..; 6 sons, Ralph A. Adams, New York, NY, Dr. Paul D. Adams and Dr. Dwight Adams, both of Osage City, Roger Adams, Hinsdale, Ill., William Adams, Houston, Tex., and Nolan Adams, Littleton, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Rebecca Parker, Loveland, Colo.; 26 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Private services were today in the United Methodist Church at Osage City. McElfresh Mortuary at Osage City was in charge of arrangements.
