Wilbur A. Absher, 71, died this morning about 6 o'clock at his home, 1727 Seventh St., Clay Center. He was born may 19, 1890 at Calhoun, Ill.
The Abshers lived in Clay Center some time ago, moving to Topeka and later to Osawatomie, where they lived for 30 years. They returned to Clay Center in August of this year to make their home.
He was a member of the Masons and Order of the Eastern Star at Osawatomie.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Absher of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jean Okorn of Independence, Mo.; two grandsons, Richard and Roy Lee Okorn; four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Hutchinson of Concordia, Mrs. Nina Royal of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Cora Ford of Clay Center and Mrs. Thelma Denney of Oklahoma City; a brother, Oren [sic] Ansher of Topeka and other relatives.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by the funeral home.
