Samuel Thomas Brosman, son of Isaac and Sarah Brosman, was born near Massion, Ohio on April 2, 1855 and departed this life September 26, 1928, age 73 years, 5 months, and 24 days.
He moved with his parents to Clark County, Illinois in the spring of 1861 where he resided with the exception of one year, which he spent in California, until the time of his death.
He was united in marriage to Florence Bell Armstrong December 21, 1876. To this union four sons were born: Homer, Thomas, Newton, and Hurley, who preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his departure a wife, three sons, Homer of Marshall, Ill., Thomas of Pomona, Calif., and Newton of Martinsville, Ill., one brother, John of Auburn, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
He united with the Church of Christ under the preaching of Elder James Hill in April 1884 and lived a faithful member until death.
He was a loving husband and father and a kind friend to all who knew him.
Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ in Marshall, Friday at 10:00 o'clock by Rev. John Carpenter, assisted by Ira Murphy. Interment in the Blue Grass cemetery.
