Elizabeth Ann Rhodes was the daughter of:
Rev. James Starr Rhodes (1812-1896)
Eliza Ann Frances Adams (1818-1905).

She was the granddaughter of Mary Starr (1768-1864) and Ebenezer Rhodes (1780-1842). Ebenezer Rhodes was a veteran of the War of 1812 and the founder of Bloomington, Illinois.

She was called "Lib".

Lib lost her first husband, Leander Peach, who was a soldier in the Civil War. He died of disease on October 19, 1862. He was 24 years old. They a daughter, Ida May, who also died of disease in December 1862.

Lib's second marriage (in April 1864) to Mr. George Anderson Bird was more fruitful and lasted until Anderson Bird died in 1924.

Lib and Anderson Bird had seven children:
1 Ada Jane (1865-1947)
2 Eliza Alice (1867-1965)
3 Charles Welcome (1870-1949)
4 Mary Arminta (1872-1917). Wesley E Beal
5 Luna (1878-1880)
6 Fannie Mabel (1881-1962)
