As found in the Hutchinson Leader, Sept. 9, 2000:
"...Adams served his country in the United States Army from Jan. 31, 1955 to Jan. 4, 1958.
Adams married Dorothy Stueber on May 13, 1961, in Watertown, South Dakota. This marriage was blessed with five childre. He was employed with Kraft Foods and later at Hutch Manufacturing. He was a member of Faith Lutheran."
Survivors listed include his wife; children Richard, Randall, Kurt, Karla, and Robin; 10 grandchildren; 3 stpe-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; step-mother Eva Adams; sisters Harriet Poling, Darlene Iten, and BZonnie Wittman; step-brothers Larry Adams and Mark Adams; and step-sister Charlene Schauwitzer.
"He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Theresa Adams; biological parents, Harry and Hazel Adams; aunts and uncles and sisters."
Another article found in the April 25, 1957 edition of the Hutchinson Leader identifies LeRoy as "an ammunition handler and a truck driver in the battalion's Service Battery" with completion of his basic training at Fort Riley, KS and arrival in Europe in September (Germany) in 1955. The same article states he is the son of Mr and Mrs Walter Adams of Hutchinson.
