John Albert Abbiuso was born on February 7, 1913 in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts to Donato Abbiuso (1876-1952) and Alberta (Annantuonio) Abbiuso (1876-1918). John was one of eight children born to the couple before his mother's death in 1918.
In 1930, John Albert Abbiuso at the age of 17 was working as a machinist for a tool shop. By 1940, John Albert was married to Cecile Janine (Mercier) Abbiuso and was working for Loom Works as a polisher. The couple had two children at that time. On October 16, 1940, John Albert registered for the US WWII Draft. He was working for Draper Corporation. John was 5 foot 10 inches and 190 pounds. He had hazel eyes, black hair and dark complexion.
Mr. Abbiuso was a polisher for the former Draper Corporation, Hopedale, MA, before retiring in 1973. He previously worked in the Boston shipyards.
John Albert Abbiuso passed away in North Naples, Collier County, Florida on January 7, 2001 at the age of 87. His body was laid to rest at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts.
