He spent most of his life in Chelmsford, where he owned and operated a tree surgeon business. He retired in 1993 and relocated to West Newfield, Maine.
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Dorothy "Dot" Dwyer, and Sherri Adams-Buldoc; two granddaughters, Erika and Ashlyn Dwyer; two sisters, Esther Pitre, and Dorothy Raso; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the father of the late Eric Adams.
