Frederick C. Aldrich, 96, of State Ave., died on December 15, 2011 in Wingate at Wilbra-ham. He was born May 9, 1915 in Ware, son of C. Raymond and Elizabeth (Broadfoot) Aldrich and has lived in Monson since 1964. Fred had worked for the former Rathbone Corp. and CF Church Company for many years. He went on to achieve his master plumber's license and worked for Mercy Medical Center for 15 years, retiring in 1980. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Betty Arventos and her husband Edward, of Monson and two grandsons of whom he was very proud, Anthony and his wife Faith of Palmer, and Christopher and his wife Lindsey of Monson. He also leaves 3 precious great grandchildren, Haley, Emily and Anthony. Frederick was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Phyllis (Giaquinto) Aldrich (2000). Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 20 for 9:15 a.m. to follow to a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery in Monson. Calling hours will be Monday, December 19 from 5:00-7:00 p. m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home.
