Lyman - Jeannette A. Bergeron, 88, of Lyman, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.
She was born in Canada on August 24, 1922 a daughter of Anselm and Azilda Picard Paquin. She was educated from Saco schools.
Jeannette married her husband Leo on April 27, 1946.
Earlier, she was employed by Bates Manufacturing in Biddeford for 15 years.
She also worked for Westland Shoe in Biddeford for several years.
Later, she was employed by Westpoint Pepperell in Biddeford and retired from Herman Shoe in Scarborough in 1985.
She loved spending summers at Granny Kent Pond in Shapleigh with her family.
She also enjoyed going shopping, playing cards and word search puzzles.
Mrs. Bergeron was a parishioner of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Saco.
She was predeceased by her husband Leo R. Bergeron on August 6, 2008.
She was also predeceased by two brothers Henry and Gerald Paquin and by one sister Juliette Fecteau.
She is survived by one daughter – Rachel Chretien and her husband Ron of Lyman
One brother – Emilien Paquin of Old Orchard Beach
2 grandchildren – Eric Chretien and Jason Chretien and his wife Monica
2 great grandchildren – Dylan and Kyle - several nieces and nephews
Visiting Hours will be from 4-7PM Tuesday at Cote Funeral Home, corner of Beach and James Streets, Saco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Most Holy Trinity Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Saco, on Wednesday April 13, 2011 at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco.
