Mary Lou Boerger, 87, of Fayetteville, AR died Saturday August 30, 2014 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, AR. She was born September 23, 1926 to Malcolm and Lillian Gibson in Steelville, MO.

Mary moved from Golden Valley, Minnesota 24 years ago and attended St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. She belonged to the Red Hat Society, Bridge club, and in 1990 volunteered to join the Peace Corp’s and was stationed in Fiji. She volunteered at the Village House in Bella Vista for many years and loved to cook and entertain for family and friends. She always put family first and was a devoted catholic. She also delivered meals on wheels and volunteered at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Minnesota.

Mary is survived by her husband L. Roger Boerger of Fayetteville, AR; two sons Mark Roger Boerger of St. Louis Park, MN and Bradley William Boerger of Fayetteville, AR; one brother John William Adams; one sister Ceal Byron; and one grandchild Aaron Roger Boerger of Beaver, UT.

A visitation will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church on Thursday, September 4th at 9:00 a.m. with the Rosary following at 9:30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be held there after at 10:00 a.m. with Father Barnabas Maria-Susai officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 East Longview St., Fayetteville, AR 72703 or to the Village House Adult Day Care, P.O. Box 3027, Bella Vista, AR 72715.
