Wallace F. Inerson, age 80, Woodville, formerly of Glenwood City, died Monday, March 9, 1998 at United Hospital, St. Paul, MN.
Wallace was born September 18, 1917 in the Township of Eau Galle to Iner and Amelia (Iverson) Inerson. Wallace graduated from Woodville High School in 1936. He was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. Wallace was a member of the Merchant Marine during World War II in 1944-46. On December 5, 1952 Wallace married Lois Olson in Woodville. He owned and operated Wally's Bar in Forest from 1952-62. He also worked at Armour's Packing Plant from 1962-1972 and Interstate Lumber Yard in Glenwood City from 1972-1983. Wallace and Lois moved to Woodville from Glenwood City in 1991. Wallace enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, dancing, following local sports, camping, and he enjoyed visiting with people and was a crossword puzzle expert. Wallace also ushered at the church.
Wallace is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Judith; one brother, Phillip. Wallace is survived by his wife, Lois Inerson, Woodville; three sons,one daughter,two sisters, Inez Lundberg, River Falls, and Mabel Johnson, Woodville; six grandchildren; three step grand-children; one great grandson; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 13, 1998 at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville, with
Rev. Carmen Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Everts Funeral Home, Glenwood City was in charge of the arrangements.
