Shereen Carol Beaulieu, 51, formerly of Woodville, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at her home in McFarland.

Shereen was born Sept. 30, 1957, the daughter of Hanley and Marie (Schoonover) Terkelsen, in Baldwin. She grew up in Wilson and attended Baldwin-Woodville High School, graduating with the class of 1976. After high school Shereen attended Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire and received an Associate in Applied Science degree, specializing as an administrative assistant and secretary. She also attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at Lakeland College in Sheboygan in 1998.

Shereen worked in the Eau Claire County Human Services Department for 13 years. In January 2007 she moved to the Madison area and worked for the University of Wisconsin-Madison as grants specialist. She also worked part time at Wal-Mart.

On August 6, 1977, Shereen married Robert Beaulieu. They were blessed with two sons, Brian and Michael. Shereen was always willing to participate in her son's activities and taught Sunday school many years and served as head of the boys' baseball club, the Seymour Ball Club. She was a proud grandmother, and her family was the center of her life.

Survivors include her two sons, Brian (Nicky) Beaulieu of McFarland and Mike Beaulieu of Eau Claire and his special friend, Jess Novotny; her grandson, Jacob Beaulieu of McFarland; her parents, Hanley and Marie Terkelsen of Wilson; one sister, Jane Terkelsen of River Falls; one brother, Don Terkelsen of Menomonie and his special friend, Amanda Canfield; a special niece, Kori Terkelsen of Menomonie; and many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Shereen will be at 2 p.m. today (Sunday, July 19, 2009) at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville, with the Rev. Keith Anderson officiating. Music will be provided by organist Judy Veenendaal and special music will be provided by Lori Remington and Jane Steinhouse. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Woodville.

Honorary bearers are John Terkelsen, Sheryl Howe, Sue Cody, Julie Schultz, Lori Remington, and Jackie Riley. Pallbearers are Glenn Schoonover, Mike Schoonover, Tom Cody, Jim Howe, Terry Reed and Richard Kath.

Keehr Funeral Home in Spring Valley handled arrangements.
