Mrs Ottellie Barthel, 89m if 1002 N. 25th St. widow of the late Oscar Barthel, died this morning at St. Nicholas Hospital of a brief illness.

Born in the town of Centerville (Manitowoc County), Oct 20, 1868. She was married to Mr. Barthel on Nov 22, 1888. The couple lived in Centerville until 1923, then moved to Sheboygan. Mrs Barthel was a member of the Frauenverein and Mission Society of St Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Surviving, among 66 direct descendants are four sons, Gustav of Sheboygan, Elmer of Cincinnati, OH., and Richard and Julius of Milwaukee; two daughters Mrs Otto (Olga) Schoenick and Mrs Hugo (Minnie) Sohre, of Sheboygan. 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Four sons and two daughters preceded her in death.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday at Nickel's Funeral Home with the Rev. Em. Malkow, St Paul's Pastor, officiating. Burrial will be in Saxon Cemetery, Manitowoc county. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:30 pm Sunday. Members of the St. Paul Frauenverein and Mission Society are to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 pm Monday for the services.

Her parents were Hulda Schubert & Johannes Jerzewski. Her sister Rosalie. She also had 2 younger brothers, George & Peter.
