Robert Edward Dosch, Good Samaritan Center in St. Croix Falls, died September 10, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Paul, Minn. He was 81 years old.

Robert was born on January 28,1923, in Amery, the son of Samuel and Anna Dosch. He grew up in Amery and graduated from Amery High School in 1940. He worked with his father in Amery operating the local dray service. He entered the United States Navy in 1944 and served until 1946. He was a life member of the Forest Lake VFW. In November of 1947 he was united in marriage to Edith Warndahl and to this union four children were born. They continued operating the dray business and an excavation company until the mid 1950s. He then went to the Twin Cities and worked as a welder for several years retiring in 1982. He enjoyed dancing, traveling, hunting and wintering in a warm climate.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Edith; brothers Arvid and Lee; and two infant sisters.

He is survived by his children, Brian Dosch and wife Mary, Debra Koehler and husband Virgil, Bradley Dosch and wife Carol, and Boyd Dosch and wife Mary; brothers Don and Erwin and sister Marian Van Hyfte; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held September 14 at Peace Lutheran Church in Dresser. Rev. Wayne DeLoach officiated and was assisted by Intern Diane Norstad. Organist was Dorothy Lindholm. Casketbearers were Brian Dosch, Bradley Dosch, Boyd Dosch, Virgil Koehler, Christopher Koehler, Walker Dosch and Samuel Dosch. Interment was at the Sand Lake Cemetery. The Forest Lake VFW provided military honors.
