Shullsburg- Joseph Earl Alderson, 76, Shullsburg, died Saturday (Feb. 11, 1967) at home after a long illness. He was born in New Diggings and worked as a carpenter in the Shullsburg area until his retirement several years ago. He was a member of the Bendon Post American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Maria; one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Kruser, Shullsburg; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 am Tuesday in St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites at the grave. Friends may call after 2 pm today at the O'Flahrity funeral home, where the parish rosary will be recited at 8 pm Monday. Friends are asked to omit flowers.
