Mrs. Harold (Eleanor) Bangert, 53, died at the Wisconsin General Hospital in Madison, Friday, Cause of death was chronic nephritis. She had been seriously ill for two weeks.
Final rites were held Monday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church with the Rev. A. J. Kocferi officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery and Hahn's Funeral Home was in charge of final arrangements.
Born Feb 14, 1896 in Marion, Wis., Mrs. Bangert was the former Eleanor V. Taylor, daughter of Wilbert and Katherine Taylor.
In 1924, the former Miss Taylor was married to Harold A. Bangert in Marion. They lived in Lima O., before coming to Sturgeon Bay in 1931. Mr. Bangert formerly operated a shoe repair shop before accepting a position as salesman.
Mrs. Bangert was a member of the Christian Mothers and treasurer of St. Joseph's Altar society.
Surviving Mrs. Bangert are her husband, a son, Keith, Sturgeon Bay, and a daughter, Joan, Madison. Two brothers, Frank Taylor, Appleton, and Myron Taylor, Manitowoc, also survive.
Present at the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Taylor and family of Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Taylor and family of Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. John Bangert and family and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Korsch and family of Oshkosh; Mr and Mrs. Martin Lyon and Kermit Lyon, Clintonville, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Steinsgraeber, Kewaunee.
Pallbearers were George Hunsader, Wallace Ives, Clyde Charnley, Clem Bridenhagen, Clarence Pinney and Frank Durkee.
