Leonard ‘Lenny' Erickson, age 70, of Woodville, Wisconsin died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Visitation for Lenny will be Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville. Funeral service will be Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 at Zion Lutheran with Rev. Keith Anderson officiating.
Burial will be in Lone Pine Cemetery, Woodville.

Lenny was born January 24, 1942, the son of Olaf and Johanna (Hanson) Erickson in Baldwin Township, St. Croix County, Wisconsin. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1960. In 1965 Lenny entered the U.S. Air Force and served for just over 3 years. On October 6, 1967 Lenny married Sandra Landon at Abilene, Texas. They had one daughter, Tammy. Sandy died December 3, 1988.
On October 1, 1994, Lenny married Shirley (Ninas) Peterson at Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville. Lenny loved Woodville and the many friends he has made over the years. He worked for the Village of Woodville for 37 years and was a Volunteer Fireman and E.M.T. He retired as Assistant Fire Chief.
Lenny loved to dance and play cards, especially Euchre, Hooligan and Cribbage. He played a little ‘liars' dice and was in golf league for many years. He loved a good time and will be remembered for his smile and his laugh.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Sandra; sister Elfreida Erickson; and brother-in-law Virgil ‘Turp' Stang.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of Woodville; 3 children: Tammy (Joe) Bauernfeind of Woodville; Dan (Heather) Peterson of Woodville; and Jody (Rick Huston) Lutterman of Woodville; sister Ovila (Ole) Stang of Woodville; brother Oliver (Mary Jean) Erickson of Hammond; 6 grandchildren: Samantha, Cody, and Alex Bauernfeind; Montana and Ariel Peterson; and Trenton Lutterman; Godchildren: Bridget (Mike) Oleson and Wylie Krager; brothers-in-law Paul (Nancy) Ninas of Menomonie and Allan (Debra) Ninas of Elgin, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was on Thursday, September 6 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville. Funeral service was on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran with Rev. Keith Anderson officiating. Organist was Judy Albrightson and vocalist was John Terkelsen. Burial was in Lone Pine Cemetery, Woodville, Wisconsin with military honors performed by the Woodville American Legion Post 301.
Pallbearers were Keith Albrightson, Jerry Hovde, Allen Delander, Steve Aaby, Walt Jacobson, Steve Nygaard, Paul Helgeson, and Larry Knegendorf.
