She is a 1940 graduate of Madison High School. She worked at several resturants in Madison prior to moving to Summit Lake in 1951 where she and her husband owned and operated the High Point Inn until retirement in 1974. Mrs. Bergen enjoyed crocheting and growing flowers.
Survivors include a son Sheldon (Kathy) Bergen of Duluth, Minn; three sisters Lorraine Skogen, Clintonville, Adeline Ingram, DeForest, LaVonne Leonard, Denver, Colo and a grandchild Rachel Bergen.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother Henry Hippe.
Services will be held on Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home Burial will take place Lakeside Cemetery in Summit Lake in the spring. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
