Mrs. Katherine Fritsch, 85, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Matt Meier, 410 W. Foster st. Thursday morning following a brief illness.
She was born in Germany Nov. 29, 1846 (sic) and came to the United States when she was 11 years old. She resided at Woodville for three years but after her marriage to Carl Fritsch moved to Maple Grove where she lived until eight years ago. During the past eight years she had been a resident of Appleton. She was a member of the Christian Mothers society of Holy Trinity church of Kassen (sic).
Survivors are four sons, Charles, Leonard, and Anton Fritsch of Brillion and Frank Fritsch of the town of Menasha; six daughters; Mrs. Peter Heidgen and Mrs. Mary Marx, and Mrs. Matt Meier of Appleton, Mrs. Florence Zewffry of Florian, Mrs. John Schiessel of Oshkosh and Mrs. William Rusch of Eagle River; one brother, John Zeininger of Menasha; one sister, Mrs. Jane Johnson of Appleton; 41 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart church, Appleton, at 9 o'clock Monday morning, the Rev. F. Raussmann officiating. Interment will be in the Kasson cemetery. The body will be removed from the Laemmrich funeral home in
Menasha to the residence of Matt Meier Friday afternoon.
