MONROE/REEDSBURG - Robert "Bob" Aeschlimann, age 89 of Reedsburg, formerly of Monroe, died on Wednesday, April 28, 1999 at the Edward Snyder Nursing Home in Reedsburg. He was born on February 12, 1910, the son of Gottfried and Louise (Funk) Aeschlimann. Bob and Orvinda G. Jacobson were united in marriage on August 15, 1933 at St. John's United Church of Christ by Reverend P.A. Schuh.

He owned and operated Monroe Auto electric and from 1962 until 1969, owned and operated the Arrowhead Resort in Hayward, Wisconsin. Upon returning to Monroe, he worked at Moore Business Forms until his retirement.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Monroe and a life member of the Knights of Pythias. Bob was very involved and greatly enjoyed woodcarving.

Surviving are his two sons Gene (Diane) Aeschlimann of Cameron, and Karl (Janis) Aeschlimann of Lyndon Station; two daughters Linda (Doug) Beck of Hayward and Rose (Robert) King of Cottage Grove. There are nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Bob is predeceased in death by his parents; his wife Orvinda; three brothers, Otto, Karl and Edwin and two sisters, Louise Steffen and Bertha Schindler.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at ST. JOHN'S CHURCH OF CHRIST. The Reverend Scheryl Seymour of St. John's United Church of Christ will officiate with burial to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Friday, April 30, 1999 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME, 1455 Mansion Drive, Monroe. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
