Adell.—Funeral services for William
Bluhm, one of the old settlers
of the town of Lyndon, who passed
away at his late home in the village
Monday morning, were held
from the residence this afternoon
at 2 o'clock and later from the Emmanuel
church. The Rev. H.
Schroth officiated. A large group
of relatives, friends and
neighbors of the deceased gathered
at the home and followed the remains
to the church and later to
the Lutheran cemetery in the town
of Sherman, where interment took
place. The pallbearers were the
Messrs. Herman Ludwig, Fred Habeck,
Fred Krause, Fred Proefrock,
Henry Jens and Carl Weinhold.
The many floral offerings testifed
to the esteem in which the deceased
was held in the community.
William Bluhm was born January
15, 1848, in Schmarso, Kreis,
Prenslo, Germany, and lived there
during the early years of his life.
In October,1876, Mr. Bluhm was
united in marriage to Wilhelmina
Zimmermann and the year following,
they came to the United States
to make their home. They settled
on a farm in the town of Lyndon,
where they lived until 1920, when
they took up their residence In the
village of Adell.
Mr. Bluhm was a patient sufferer
during the past two years.
Besides the bereaved widow the
survivors are nine children, Gustave,
Mrs. William Hinz and Mrs.
Oscar Miske, of Adell; Henry, of
Marathon; William, Mra. Carl
Mainke and Mrs. Albert Crunke,
of Sheboygan Falls, and Frank and
Otto, of Waldo. There are also
