Tim L. "Pipe" Adams, age 49, of Lone Rock, died suddenly on Feb. 14, 2012, at Meriter Hospital in Madison, as a result of heart failure.

Pipe was born May 22, 1962, along with his twin sister Tammie, to Pauline Adams in Lone Rock. Pipe worked for the village of Lone Rock for more than 31 years. He started on the Lone Rock Fire Department in 1985, and was the Fire Chief from 1995 until 2002. He retired in 2003, but remained on the call list if he was needed to help out during the day when the department was low for volunteer firemen. Tim also drove many years for the Lone Rock Ambulance.

Everyone in Lone Rock knew Pipe, and he was always willing to help anyone that had sewer problems to making sure the streets in Lone Rock would be plowed after a snow storm. Pipe was the Fire Inspector for the Lone Rock Fire District from 1995 to the present. Pipe enjoyed hunting, fishing and the trips to Northern Wisconsin where he had a cabin. Pipe loved deer and bear hunting and going to the cabin with his Uncle Frog and nephews Patrick and Adam.

Pipe is survived by his parents, of Lone Rock; his twin sister and best friend, Tammie of Lone Rock and their children: two nephews of Lone Rock and his niece and goddaughter; an Aunt of California; an Uncle of Lone Rock; Aunt of Cazenovia; Great-Aunt of Avoca; cousins, of Madison, California, Lone Rock, Richland Center, Reedsburg, Cazenovia; his co-worker of 17 years and friend, Dan of Lone Rock. He also leaves behind his faithful companion Suede, that went everywhere with him. Pipe - you will be dearly missed by the Village of Lone Rock and especially your family. You were one of a kind.

Pipe was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lila Adams who helped raise him and Tammie; his grandparents, George and Genevieve Gasser; Uncle Milan "Snake" Adams and his wife Marilyn "Duck" Adams; and his very special Uncle Fred "Frog" Adams, who he lived with for more than 30 years and passed away on Sept. 28, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at the COMMUNITY CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH in Lone Rock. Burial will be in the Button Cemetery. Friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will also be on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be directed to the family in memory of Pipe. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements. Online condolences may be made

To Pipe from your twin sister: "We started out very small but you grew up to be a Big Teddy Bear. I'm going to miss our trips to Wal-Mart, hauling wood and will always remember the auctions and garage sales, looking for Avon. Thank you for being such a wonderful Uncle to my children and helping them to be the great adults that they have become. A piece of my heart will always be with you Pipe." Love, Tammie
