Mrs. William (Sara D.) Cline, 85, of 1400 N. Pine Street, died Monday afternoon at Langlade County Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 31, 1885, to the late Mr. and Mrs. John C. Tipton in Elliott County KY. She grew up in Kentucky and in 1925 she moved to Bryant. She had been a resident of Langlade County since 1925 and had lived in Antigo for the past two and one-half years.
She was married to John Eldridge in Kentucky in 1898. He preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 1937 and on May 8, 1938 she married William Cline in Nashville, Wis. He died on Dec. 15, 1968.
Mrs. Cline was a member of the Church of God in Antigo.
Surviving her are seven daughters, Mrs. Robert (Olie) Maddix, Star Route, Polar; Mrs. Hatcher (Malissa) Bowman, White Lake; Mrs. Laura Lowery, Antigo; Mrs. Ottis (Fannie) Barneti, Tuscon, Ar.; Mrs. Eugene (Mytle) Rose, Ventura, Calif.; Mrs. Thurman (Leota) Tackett, White Lake and Mrs. Gerald (Hazel) Bohringer, Waukegan, Ill.; Six sons, Reunen, Florida; John, Settersburg, Ind.; David, Marion, Ind.; Henry, Antigo; Romeo, Kenosha, and Burley Elwood, Ind.; two brothers, Henry Tipton, Knighstown, Ind.; and Elkon Tipton, Portsmith, Ohio; 81 grandchildren; over 208 great grandchildren; many great great-grandchildren and two great great-great grandchildren.
Two daughters, two sons, one sister and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cline will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Soman and Rhodes funeral home with Dr. Dale Moffet officiating. Burial will be made the Rose cemetery in the town of Evergreen.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today
