Kendell Dean Fougner
Kendell Dean Fougner , 62, died Wednesday, May 31, at the Amery Regional Medical Center.
He was born in St. Paul, Minn., on May 7, 1944, the son of Elmer and Delta Fougner. He grew up in Polk County and attended Polk County Special Education School in Balsam Lake. He has also worked at the Adult Development Center doing assembly work for a number of years. Kendell enjoyed family time and camping. He was a member of the Apple River Drifters which is a local Good Sam camping club. Kendell lived with his brother, Norman, in rural Amery.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer Jr. and Donald; and a nephew, Mark Fougner.
He is survived by his brother, Norman (Gloria) Fougner; sister, Judy (Eldon) Sanders; sister-in-law, Carol Fougner; nieces, Barb Friese, Joana Curry and Cindy Taylor; nephews, Bryan Fougner, Brad Fougner and Jeremy Johnson; and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 3, at Balsam Lutheran Church in rural Amery with Pastor Keith Rediske officiating. Special music was provided by Arlen Peterson, Julaine Berglund and Carlene Swanson.
Casketbearers were Bryan Fougner, Brad Fougner, Barb Friese, Jeremy Johnson, Joana Curry, Chris Otis and Cindy Taylor. Honorary Casketbearers were Karlee Friese, Kristi Friese, Caressa Fougner, Ethan Fougner, Crystal Fougner, Gabriele Fougner, Neeve Curry, Genna Taylor, Zach Taylor and Marit Taylor. Interment was at the Shiloh Cemetery.
The Williamson Funeral Home, Amery, was entrusted with arrangements.
