E. Curtis Cann, 66, a member of the Shaffer Monument company firm, died Thursday night at 10:15 o'clock at the Home hospital, where he was taken two hours before, suffering with heart trouble. Born in Wea township, near Crane Station, April 9, 1866, he was the son of John W and Rachel M (DeHart) Cann. He had been a resident of this city for many years and was connected with the monument company for about five years. Mr Cann was a member of the Masonic lodge. He made his home at 904 Columbia Street. Surviving is a brother, Morton C. Cann, of Stockwell, also a sister, Mrs. Mary Ellen Davis, of Thorntown. The body was removed to the Rogers and Smith funeral home, where friends my call. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Wildcat Christian church, with the Reb J. Newton Jessup, of the First Christian church officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Friends are requested to omit flowers
