Garrett W. Arbegust died at 7:10 o’clock last evening at the home of his mother, Mrs. Rosanna Arbegust, who resides at 263 Smith street. He had been ill for eight months and was a victim of Tuberculosis. He was the oldest son of George W. and Rosanna Arbegust and was born in Sullivan county, thirty years ago. The family formerly lived at Clark’s Hill. Mr. Arbegust was a member of St. John’s church and was a man of splendid character. Surviving his long siege of suffering he was patient and bore up with Christian fortitude. He was honest and industrious and had many friends. Besides the mother he leaves three brothers, Ward, George and William Arbegust, of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Susan Russell, of this city, and Mrs. Maggie Monroe, of Indianapolis. Rev. Paul Faude will conduct services at the house at 9 o’clock to-morrow morning and the remains will be taken overland to Clark’s Hill for interment in the Union cemetery.
