Elizabeth "Betty" Albright, 82, of Madison, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born Aug. 2, 1922, in Rochester, N.Y., the daughter of Joseph and Ruth Towne Huber. She had lived in Madison since 1999, having moved here from Lafayette, where she was apartment manager at Georgetown Apartments for 23 years. She was a member of Saint Mary Cathedral in Lafayette and of Prince of Peace Catholic Parish in Madison. She was a member of Historic Madison Inc. and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She enjoyed playing bridge, watching college basketball games, reading, and solving crossword puzzles.
Surviving are four daughters, Kathy Thomes of Arlington, Texas, Judy Greer of Kalamazoo, Mich., Anne Schroeder of Madison and Susan Rosenkranz of Seattle, Wash.; one son, Tim Albright of Heltonville; one brother, Jack Huber of Rochester, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was peceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joseph Huber.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Saint Mary Cathedral in Lafayette, with burial in Saint Mary Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., with the rosary to be said at 4:45 p.m.
A reception will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Madison.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 305 State St., Madison, IN 47250 or Heifer International Project, P.O. Box 8058, Little Rock, AR 72203-8058.
