Valparaiso/Wanatah -- Albert L. Anderson, age 61, of Valparaiso, formerly of Wanatah, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2002at Porter Memorial Hospital. He was born August 29, 1940 in Gary, the son of Bernard and Lucille (Tomasczewski) Anderson and graduated from Lew Wallace High School in 1958. He had been a machinist with Allis-Chalmers in LaPorte and then Thorgren Tool & Molding in Valparaiso and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wanatah. On October 17, 1959 at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Gary, he married Lydia Lyon who survives along with their three children, Teryl (Mark) Wolfe of Kouts, Cheryl (Steve) Marciniak of Michigan City and Doug (Annie) Anderson of Kouts; three brothers: Larry (Yolanda) Anderson of Florida, Bill (Alberta) Anderson of Gosport, IN, and Tom (Kathy) Anderson of Chesterton; and nine grandchildren: Stephanie (Keith) Robertson, Jessica and Sarah Wolfe, Kevin, Nick and Scot Marciniak and Bo, Quinn and Bubba Anderson.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, 10:00 A.M., DIRECTLY at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wanatah, Rev. Phillip Gilbert officiating. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation Monday 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, IN, with a prayer service at 4:00 P.M.
