Herman Alberts Dies Suddenly
Herman J. Alberts of northeast of Remington, in which community he had resided since 1913, died suddenly in his home at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday. The death of the well known farmer apparently resulted from a heart attack which came shortly after he had retired for the night.
Mr. Alberts wqs born in Dewey, Ill., Nov. 16, 1894, the son of Henry and Effie Stagen Alberts. He was married to Miss Leila Lilves in Remington on March 26, 1918.
Mr. Alberts was a member of the Remington Presbyterian church.
Surviving with the widow are two sons, Alvin Alberts and Marvin Alberts, both of northeast of Remington; five grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Alberts of Remington and John Alberts of Rossville and a sister, Mrs. Lucy Harmon, of Rensselaer.
The funeral services were held at the Remington Presbyterian church at 2 p.m. Thursday and interment was in Remington cemetery.
