Leila Alberts, 88, Remington, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at Jasper County Hospital.
A resident of the Rensselaer Care Center for four years, she had lived on a farm northeast of Remington until 1980.
Born Aug. 20, 1895, she was the daughter of Ada Blake and James Lilves. She married Herman Alberts, Jr. on March 26, 1918. He preceded her in death in 1963.
Educated in the Remington schools, she was a houswife, a member of the Remington Presbyterian Church, the Presbyterian Women's Association and the North Carpenter Home Ec Club.
She is survived by two sons, Alvin and Marvin Alberts, both of Remington. Also surviving are five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Two sister preceded her in death.
Burial will be in the Remington Cemetery.
