John Alberts, Jr. Passes Away
John Alberts, jr. was born Dec. 13, 1900 at Hartsburg, Illinois and passed away August 19, 1954 at his farm home, three and one half miles northeast of Goodland.
He died on this farm where he had resided 25 years.
He was united in marriage to Miss Grace May of Jasper county February 27, 1926.
He was a member and trustee of the Methodist church, a member of the Masonic Lodge; Order of Eastern Star and White Shrine at Remington, Indiana; the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, and the Farm Bureau.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Sgt. LaDonne Alberts of the U.S. Army in Germany; Keith at home, one grandson, Terry Eugene; two sister, Miss Anna Alberts of Attica, and Mrs. Helena Hindsley of Urbana, Illinois; two brothers Herman of West Lafayette and Bernhard of Boswell; also nieces and nephew nad a host of griends.
Funeral Services were held Sunday afternoon at the Remington Methodist church conducted by Rev. R.W. Michel and Rec. O.R. Mason.
Burial was made in the Remington cemetery.
