Paul Anderson, 90, of Lafayette, died at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Central in Lafayette.

He was born July 2, 1920, in Lafayette and was the son of the late Otis Anderson Sr. and Lillian Zink Hicks.

His marriage was to Kathleen T. Kee on June 8, 1946, in Lafayette. She died Dec. 29, 1981.

Mr. Anderson owned a fruit and vegetable market, worked at Pay Less Super Market in the dairy department and retired from the receiving department.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and enjoyed fishing, poker and sports. He was an avid Cubs fan.

Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Kiser of Lafayette; a son, Michael Anderson (wife: Pam) of Linden; and two sisters, Marie Jones of Lafayette and Cecilia Farmer of Crawfordsville.

Also survivingare several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2011, at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Services will be held there at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011, the Rev. Dr. R. Clayton Kendall officiating. Interment to follow at Pretty Prairie Cemetery in Battle Ground.
