ALEXANDRIA — Roger D. Allen, 60, died July 10, 2009, at his residence, following an extended illness.
Roger was born March 8, 1949, in Anderson, the son of James L. and Imogene (Moss) Allen.
He was a veteran who served his country in the U.S. Army.
Roger was a member of American Legion Post 127 in Anderson.
Survivors include four brothers, Wendell (Emily) Allen of Anderson and Ronnie (Nancy) Allen, Larry (Mellie Krebs) Allen and Jerry (Frankie) Allen, all of Alexandria; and one sister, Patricia Bevelhimer of Anderson.
A graveside service and burial of cremains will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Walk Cemetery in Anderson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria.
