Obit: Saturday, at his home in Kirklin, about the noon hour, William Agnew, an old and highly respected pioneer citizen of this county, died of consumption, brought on by a general breaking down of his health, after a long illness.
Deceased was a brave and fearless soldier, serving through the war with his only son, who with his second wife, survives him.
He was nearly eighty years old and had resided in the county for many years.
The funeral was held Sunday from his late home, the remains being laid to rest in the Cox Cemetery (now Oak Hill Cemetery), near Kirklin.
