WINAMAC — Chester M. Austin, 82, Rt. 3, Winamac, died at1:05
a.m. Saturday in Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

He was born May 7, 1904, in Monticello, to Henry and Emma Wilson Austin. He was married April 11, 1953, in Winamac, to Mildred Schultz, who survives.

A retired farmer, he was a member of the First Christian Church.

Also surviving are three daughters, Carol Ploense, Hammond, Sandra McFarren, Dayton, and Margaret Good, Monterey; and 10 grandchildren.

One daughter, two brothers, and one sister preceded in death.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Frain Mortuary, with the Rev. John Sargent officiating. Burial will be in the McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
