He was preceded in death by sons Stephen and Michael Alford. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Cole) Alford; daughters Judy Ohler and Helen Gruca; sisters Marena Gammons and Geneva Cole; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
