THE DEATH OF THUIE ALLEN
Mrs. Thuie (Bartholomew) Allen, 78, died in Home hospital, Lafayette, at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday. She had been a patient there for three weeks. Born near Stockwell in 1876, the daughter, of pioneer parents; she married William Allen in 1895. He died in 1945. She spent all her life in and around Stockwell, where she was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are two sons, Earl of Detroit, Mi., Harold of Clarks Hill and a sister, Mrs. Charles Johnson, also of Stockwell. (Lafayette Journal & Courier, 7 Dec 1954)
