Gene was my brother-in-law..
Gene was husband to, Charlene Cosby (Epperson) Collins.
Father to, Gregory Dean Collins.
Gene and Charlene were married March 1, 1961. Gregory Dean was born, May 19, 1966.
One Grandchild: Keisha Lenea` Collins, born December 26, 1988.
Gene's Parents: Harlan Collins, (born 9-25-1907, died 11-1977.) Dolly Mae Fields, (born 5-3-1910, died .) Buried in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, in Grainger County, TN.
Brothers and sisters: Don, Lefty, Dan, Irene, Bonnie, and Peggy.
Gene was a wonderful, loving husband and father. He was always so patient, and kind. Gene never had anything bad to say about anyone. He was a Deacon at Raven Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He didn't have to wear a shirt that said "I'm a Christian." The way he lived his life showed people he was a christian. He died of cancer. I loved him dearly, he was an inspiration to me.
