She was saved at age 9 and was one of the original members of Caney Valley American Christian Church, in Tazewell, TN.
She had 16 children with Ephram Bolden.
Sons: Hubert, Raymond, Claude, and Clyde Bolden.
Daughters: Cledith, Alice, Ellie, Pearl, Ruby, Joyce, and Gladys.
5 babies preceded her in death.
