Milton, Ind., Feb. 16
News has been received here of the death of Charles Atkinson, Jr., the 16-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Newman Atkinson, of Indianapolis.
The young man with a friend had just come home from their work as substitute drivers for the Roberts dairy wagon and in some manner as they attempted to board a moving interurban near the Atkinson home the young man fell. His spine was broken and one leg crushed. He lived only a few moments.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Newman Atkinson, were born and reared here, and are also well known at Centerville, where they lived very recently. Newman Atkinson is a brother of Charles Atkinson, Sr., of Richmond.
The funeral took place Monday afternoon. The deceased was to finish school this year and had bright prospects before him.
